Tonight is book club and we’re going to discuss The Actor and the Housewife. I’m positive there’ll be people who loathed it and people like me who adored it. (I guess that’s not much of a prediction since that’s the case with most books.) But, what I’m most curious about is who everyone’s number-one actor to meet and become best friends with would be. So, let’s play a game. Let’s play The Actor and the Housewife game.
If you had the chance to meet any actor/actress and become their best friend, who would it be and why? In fact, let’s pick your top two.
There’s no question who my number-one favorite actor is: Ewan McGregor. I adore him! I think he’s fantastic in all his roles. He’s very versatile and can play almost anything. I love that he can sing too. And, boy can that man sing! I wish he did more singing roles. I could listen to him sing all day. Also, he’s Scottish, which means sexy accent when he talks.
I think it’d be fun to be his best friend. But, I don’t think I’m outgoing enough for him. He always does all these fun things, like bike (motorcycle and bicycle) everywhere. He’s hiked and camped in the Amazon (that was fun to watch on TV). He’s also a philanthropist, doing things for UNICEF and GO Campaign. I just can’t compete with that. So, I’m afraid that if I ever did meet him, it’d just be actor and fan and nothing more.
If you would’ve asked me five years ago, I would’ve said I didn’t have a second favorite actor. I would’ve just listed Ewan McGregor a second time, and a third, and a fourth, and a … you get the picture. However, by way of White Collar, a TV show on USA, I’ve now been introduced to Matt Bomer. 
I love him in that show. And, maybe it’s Neal Caffrey that I adore, but I feel like it’s Matt Bomer too. I’ve only seen him in one other show, an episode of Glee. He and Darren Criss were brothers and they sang, “Somebody that I Used to Know” by Gotye and I heart that song. I heart it bad, especially their version of it! It’s the most played song on my iPod and iPhone. It was also my ringtone for about a week until Corey said he was sick of hearing that song every time my phone rang, lol. And, yes, I have a thing for singing actors, but really, who doesn’t?!
I’m not sure I could be best friends with Matt Bomer either. He seems more like a homebody, spending time with his partner and kids. But, he’s still probably more outgoing than I am. And, yet, there’s a part of me that thinks I could be best friends with Matt Bomer more than I could be with Ewan McGregor. Plus, since Matt Bomer’s gay, there’s no threat to either of our relationships.
